Bailey Donnelly (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate transfer student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UC Berkeley. She was born and raised in San Diego, California where she earned her Associate of Arts in Psychology from Palomar College. Understanding the importance of a strong community for well-being, Bailey spent 4 years designing and delivering dynamic, hands-on, supplemental curriculum for children 4-13 years old, encouraging friendship, conflict resolution, and healthy communication. After arriving at Berkeley, she volunteered with the Harm Reduction Expansion Project, distributing harm reduction supplies and educating students about harm reduction practices. Motivated by the passing of a loved one, she strove to promote a safe, informed, and inclusive campus environment. In the future, she hopes to continue to utilize her knowledge of psychology to give back to local communities while concurrently pursuing a Ph.D. in neuroscience to investigate the implications of reward and learning systems in the brain.
