
Patrick Murphy (he/him) is a fourth-year transfer student from Monterey County. He has lived experience in recovery, incarceration, and homelessness. Patrick brings a strong background in holistic social work and collegiate recovery support from his previous work as a Behavioral Health Case Manager at the Yolo County Public Defender’s Office and as a Recovery Coordinator Specialist at his previous community college. At the Public Defender’s Office, Patrick developed behavioral health assessments and care plans, advocating for clients navigating complex legal and mental health systems. His work emphasized crisis intervention, case management, and connecting individuals to essential community resources. Patrick is passionate about advancing health equity and building inclusive support systems. His personal journey gives him the unique ability to empathize and empower students in their recovery journey.
