Elena Love (she/her) is a former foster youth graduate student in UC Berkeley’s Master of Social Welfare program. She earned her BA in Early Childhood Studies from Sonoma State University as a transfer student.
Elena plans to work as a PPSC supporting children and families in schools, and as an LCSW in behavioral health and addiction medicine. She is passionate about understanding the impact of trauma and life experiences on substance use while recognizing the importance of connection, community, and meeting people where they are. Through CRP, Elena has found a community where nontraditional students and students in recovery can feel welcomed, understood, and celebrated. As a Student Recovery Coordinator, she hopes to help create that same sense of belonging for others and make sure students know they have a place here.
